A little about Suzanne and Millie
Suzanne Gordon moved to Nevis in 1997 to work on a book on Caribbean architecture, published as “Searching for Sugar Mills”. A former reporter for the Philadelphia Inquirer, I opened Sugar Mill Real Estate in 1999, selling and renting homes throughout the island, with the key sales of Golden Rock Hotel and Tower Hill during the last 15 years. I earned an MA degree in historic preservation at Goucher College while living on Nevis and love to read and all things historic.
Meanwhile, Millie (who was a former client of Suzanne’s) moved to Nevis with her family in 2005 and learned all things real estate whilst designing and building her home. She has renovated many houses on Nevis for both herself and our clients, and enjoys interior design as well. Her kids are now grown but still loving the Caribbean life. A former scuba instructor, Millie is an excellent cook.
Together we enjoy staging prior to listing and finding ways to simplify homes to create the most saleable product. We also have been managing properties for so long that we can advise prospective owners on what changes to anticipate and what’s needed to turn your home into a successful holiday rental. That experience, coupled with the hotel’s expertise, should be a winning formula.
We’d love to get together and say hello to old friends, or meet new ones.
A little about Eric Johnson
Eric Johnson joined FSRE as the Director of Sales and Marketing in June 2014. Eric expanded FSRE’s sales and marketing efforts, revamping all efforts from the on-site sales support, to digital marketing online and at the resort sales office. During his 6 year tenure on Nevis FSRE achieved a record breaking sales volume of over $150 million combined in real estate sales, developer built villas and new construction. He became Managing Director of FSRE Nevis overseeing the day to day operations of the entire company including the construction team. Kicking of his new role, he led FSRE’s construction team through a $17 million renovation of an existing villa, the largest remodel of a villa while continuing to lead the sales and marketing efforts.
Construction of the villa continued through the onset of the pandemic and was completed in early 2021. While the pandemic caused the resort to temporarily shut-down due to International travel restrictions, Eric and the entire FSRE team continued building the villa while navigating the new rules, ensuring timely delivery of construction materials from our warehouse in Miami, FL.
Eric is well respected by his colleagues in the construction industry across the United States, building enduring partnerships with materials suppliers and a top-notch sub-contractor base. Through his vision, FSRE reduced operational expense while delivering improved service and support leading the company its most profitable year ever.
At the beginning of 2021 Eric made the move to Miami Beach, FL to live closer to his family and began working as Global Real Estate Advisor with ONE Sotheby’s International Realty based in Southeast Florida. Joining the team at Sotheby’s was a natural extension of the foundation he built selling branded residential at Four Seasons Resort Estates Nevis. ONE SIR, led by Mayi De la Vega is the market leader in residential real estate transactions in Southeast Florida. Eric is excited to join the team of professionals at ONE SIR and he looks forward to helping his international clientele from his new role.
Eric will continue to build upon the foundation he created and support Suzanne and Millie ensuring continuity for existing and new clients as they become a part of his Nevis family.
