Arriving on Nevis in 2004 to take up a post teaching scuba diving at Scuba Safaris, adventurous traveler and marine enthusiast Miles Denne lived and worked on the island for a number of years prior to taking over Nevis Yacht Charters. Finding himself the proud but impromptu owner of yacht Feisty after chatting with the previous owner in a beach bar, Miles has made a name for himself as the go-to-guy for intimate excursions along the shores of St. Kitts and Nevis.

With his years of experience and background in marine biology, Captain Miles offers full day, half day, and sunset cruises for up to eight people aboard yacht Feisty; a luxurious, 41-foot sloop built by Hunter Marine of the USA. While on board guests can relax on deck, snorkel in the calm waters of the Caribbean Sea, or take the helm and navigate to secluded coves and picturesque bays. Full day charters also include a choice of a Captain’s lunch aboard or at one of Nevis’ vibrant beach bars where sweet soca beats and fresh island fare offer a true taste of the Caribbean.

What do you love most about sailing on the waters around Nevis?
Miles says, “The shores of Nevis are some of the most pristine I have seen. There are ever-changing views of clouds floating atop the peak of Mount Nevis, and endless idyllic island vistas over rainforest and reef.”

What are your favorite things to do on Nevis?
“I enjoy playing golf, there’s a group of us who regularly play at a few of the different courses on the island; it’s great fun and a good way to relax with friends. I also like to dine out at the Four Seasons Resort’s Mango restaurant where my lovely wife Camilla is the General Manager. The views out over the ocean at sunset are superb.”

Tell me something interesting about yourself:
“When I bought Feisty I didn’t know how to sail! I flew back to England pretty sharpish and spent two months learning my new trade on the Thames Estuary and along the east coast of England.”
